Alpharetta, Georgia

As part of metropolitan Atlanta, Alpharetta is known for being the site of the famed DeVry Institute of Technology and as a campus of Georgia State University. It is the second largest town in the Atlanta vicinity. When visiting in Alpharetta be sure to check out the following:

  • The Mansell House and Gardens which is built and furnished in the Queen Anne Style. It is open Monday – Friday for tours.

  • North Point Mall- Love to shop? Then this is the place to go. With over 175 shops, and venues as well as 2 movie theatres, this is just the place for entertainment for the whole family. Nearby is an ice skating and roller skating rink.

  • The Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre- Seating 12,000, the Theatre is the venue for an assortment of singers, performers, productions and more. In fact, it was nominated in the Inaugural 2008 Season for two prestigious Pollstar Awards – Best New Major Concert Venue and Best Major Outdoor Concert Venue.

Alpharetta is a popular place for families seeking a better quality of life. It should be noted, however, that if you work inside the Atlanta perimeter (285) and live in Alpharetta you can expect hours and hours in traffic each week.
